We already know that many displays require backlight modules to provide light sources to achieve good visual effects. When we talk about display pins, we will involve the definition of each pin. Among them, the AK definition we often refer to what is it then?
Hot Display Technology is an expert in manufacturing display screens. In addition to our complete products, strong development capabilities, and high product quality, we are also very rigorous about every detail! When we describe the product, we will give detailed guidance to customers on every part, so that customers feel comfortable and assured during the cooperation process!
AK pin definition
Simply put, the AK pin refers to the positive and negative poles of the power supply terminal on the backlight module. As we all know, the light source of the backlight is generally an LED lamp, which is an electrical appliance. The electrical appliance needs to be connected to the power supply to work properly. The applicable current of the LED lamp is DC, so the positive and negative poles need to be distinguished. The AK definition of the backlight module is the representative symbol used to identify the positive and negative poles connected to the power supply.
"A" is the abbreviation of "Anode" in English, which represents the positive electrode.
"K" is the abbreviation of "kathode" in English, which stands for negative electrode.
As shown in the picture below: In the display module, we will also clearly mark the corresponding positions of A and K on the PCB board.
In addition, in the product specification book, when defining each pin, in order to facilitate engineers to develop products efficiently, we will also clearly indicate which pin number is the AK pin. As shown below:
