5.0 inch TFT LCD Module | 800x480 STM32 USART Smart display
This 5.0-inch smart TFT module is designed for industrial embedded systems. It uses the STM32F767 high-performance microcontroller as the core driver and is equipped with an 800×480 resolution IPS LCD panel to present clear picture quality with 16.7M colors and NTSC 50% color gamut. The 5.0-inch smart TFT module equipped with STM32F767 integrates RS485, UMR (TTL) and USB (Ice UMRT) multi-protocol interfaces and supports 12V-24V wide voltage input. Its industrial-grade design ensures stable operation in ambient temperatures of -20°C to 70°C, and the storage temperature range is extended to -30°C~80°C. With built-in STM32F767 driver chip and GT911 touch controller, and 450cd/m² high-brightness LED backlight, it can maintain excellent visibility even in strong light environments. This solution is particularly suitable for industrial HMI equipment that requires reliable human-computer interaction. Its modular architecture allows developers to quickly integrate touch functionality, adjust glass thickness, or customize communication protocols, providing cost-effective display solutions for applications such as smart medical devices and automated control panels.
Driver chip description
The STM32F767xx, STM32F768Ax, and STM32F769xx devices are based on the high-performance Arm® Cortex®-M7 32-bit RISC core, operating at up to 216 MHz. The Cortex®-M7 core integrates a floating-point unit (FPU) and supports Arm® double-precision and single-precision data processing instructions and data types. In addition, it implements a full set of DSP instructions and a memory protection unit (MPU) to enhance the security of the application.
The STM32F765xx, STM32F767xx, STM32F768Ax, and STM32F769xx devices integrate high-speed embedded memory, including up to 2 MB of Flash, 512 KB of SRAM (including 128 KB of data TCM RAM for critical real-time data), 16 KB of instruction TCM RAM for critical real-time programs, 4 KB of backup SRAM available in the lowest power modes, and a rich set of enhanced I/Os and peripherals connected to two APB buses, two AHB buses, a 32-bit multi-AHB bus matrix, and a multilayer AXI interconnect supporting internal and external memory access.
The devices offer three 12-bit ADCs, two DACs, a low-power RTC, twelve general-purpose 16-bit timers (including two PWM timers for motor control), two general-purpose 32-bit timers, and a true random number generator (RNG). They also feature standard and advanced communication interfaces:
- Up to four I2C interfaces
- Six SPI interfaces, three I2S interfaces in half-duplex mode. For audio-grade accuracy, the I2S peripheral can be clocked by a dedicated internal audio PLL or an external clock.
- Four USART interfaces plus four UART interfaces
- One full-speed USB OTG interface and one high-speed USB OTG interface with full-speed support (with ULPI)
- Three CAN interfaces
- Two SAI serial audio interfaces
- Two SDMMC host interfaces
- Ethernet and camera interfaces
- LCD-TFT display controller
- Chrom-ART accelerator
- SPDIFRX interface
Advanced peripherals include two SDMMC interfaces, a Flexible Memory Control (FMC) interface, a Quad-SPI flash interface, and a camera interface for CMOS sensors.
The STM32F765xx, STM32F767xx, STM32F768Ax and STM32F769xx devices operate over the temperature range of –40 to +105 °C and with a supply voltage of 1.7 to 3.6 V. Dedicated supply inputs for USB (OTG_FS and OTG_HS) and SDMMC2 (clock, command and 4-bit data) are available in all packages except LQFP100, providing a wider range of power supply options.
The supply voltage can be reduced to 1.7 V using an external supply monitor. Comprehensive power saving modes support the design of low-power applications.
The STM32F765xx, STM32F767xx, STM32F768Ax and STM32F769xx devices are available in 11 packages with pin counts ranging from 100 to 216 pins. The included peripheral mix varies depending on the device selected.
